KOR HOTEL GROUP DEBUTS REBRANDED SHERATON DELFINA HOTEL AS NEW FOUR-STAR LUXURY HOTEL IN PRIME SANTA MONICA

Santa Monica, Calif. - Under the management of luxury hotel operator Kor Hotel Group, Sheraton Delfina has premiered in Santa Monica as a full-service, luxury four-star Sheraton hotel, officially joining Kor's distinctive portfolio of luxury boutique and flagged hotels. Timed with the completion of the property's major $11 million renovation, Delfina officially reflagged March 15th.
"Significant renovations were essential in achieving the goal of becoming a competitor in the
Santa Monica luxury hotel market," said Area General Manager Michael Miner, who oversees both
Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica and Sheraton Gateway LAX. "The goal of attracting an upscale
business and tourist clientele is a natural progression inherent with Sheraton Delfina's
prime seaside location and sophisticated yet relaxed, beach-attitude."
The new design of Delfina's hotel lobby, lounge, pool area and fitness center reflect
the sophisticated urban chic style and relaxed ocean side feel of the new guestrooms and
suites. Redesigned in a palette of Espresso brown and Tibetan blue, the guest room
appointments include contemporary Lucite lamps, textured leather headboards, Sweet Sleeper
beds, flat-screen televisions, high-speed Internet access and digital safes.
Sheraton Delfina's Penthouse Ballroom - the only one of its kind in town - underwent
significant upgrades and reconfiguration to increase meeting and event space and further enhance
its sweeping 360-degree ocean, coastline and city views. The pool area gained a resort feel with
the addition of elegant cabanas, a wooden deck and tropical landscaping, as well as a
handsomely furnished poolside clubhouse with dual-sided fireplace and plasma television. The
new poolside state-of-the-art fitness center features a "cardio theatre" complete with personal
flat screen televisions.
